I helped plan and implement two PRSA award-winning social media campaigns in 2015 and 2016. Both campaigns won Spotlight awards for best social media campaign.

 

2015 | Megawatt Madness

Nothing like a little friendly competition. Iberdrola Renewables was looking for a social campaign that engaged employees and the general public. We designed Megawatt Madness as a play off of the NCAA March Madness Tournament. The idea was simple: set up an online tournament that allowed employees and wind energy fans to vote for their favorite wind farm of Iberdrola's 64 U.S. site via an online tournament bracket. One site was selected as the champion. The campaign included ongoing organic and paid social support, website development and a ton of planning time. In the end the juice was worth the squeeze, as the campaign generated engagement levels previously unheard of for the brand.

Due to the success of the campaign, this has become the capstone annual social media initiative for Iberdrola Renewables.

 

2016 | Trade Show Coverage At Its Finest

Each year, Intel attends the world's largest healthcare trade show, HIMMS. Intel does not come top of mind when most people think healthcare technology. That doesn't change the fact that a majority of medical technologies are built on Intel processor technology. We set out to raise awareness for the brand by dominating the social media landscape at the event. Through live onsite social media coverage, paid advertising support, giveaways and collaborating with other partner brands at the show, we were able to propel Intel's share of voice beyond all competitors. In the end, Intel was the #1 most talked about brand at the trade show.

Competitors took note of the campaigns success and mimicked our social strategy in 2017.
