Awareness is critical in introducing new potential customers to a brand and with limited startup budgets, my focused turned to earned media strategies.
I approached media outreach with the goal of seeding publicity into at least one target publication. By creating a strategic roadmap hinged on timeliness and message testing, I drafted various media pitches leading up to and after the company’s crowdfunding launch. Press materials were positioned specifically for each publication and for each phase throughout the brand’s journey. I began nurturing our top priority journalist relationships up to 4 months prior to launch and continued to expand that target list throughout that timeframe. As a result, PR efforts exceeded expectations - Cardiff/Roxford, Inc. landed positive coverage in four major online publications.
