Celebrating Earth Day in Style
Iberdrola Renewables (now Avangrid Renewables) was looking for a unique way to enter the online conversation and raise awareness for the environmental benefits of wind energy during #EarthDay 2015.
We needed something eye catching. Something uniquely creative and ahead of its time. I pitched the idea to utilize a little-known type of creative called a cinemagraph. The idea was simple: couple unexpected, striking visuals with impactful facts about wind energy's impact on the environment.
I planned the campaign to take place throughout the week surrounding Earth Day. The creative was extremely well received by the online community and became the second most successful social media initiative for the brand in 2015.
