Branding the Communicators Conference

In early 2017, I took the initiative to design the logo for PRSA's capstone annual conference, Communicators Conference. This conference brings together professionals from all over the United States to learn from some of the industry's finest communicators. 

In 2017, PRSA Portland was undergoing a major transition, combining various metro-area chapters into one statewide organization. This was the core inspiration behind the logo I designed. Not only did it give a fresh, locally inspired feel to the brand, it effectively communicated unity behind the ongoing transition. 

In addition, I pitched a new take on the conference name and hashtag. Until now, this conference maintained the full "Communicators Conference" in all branded materials (including logos). I suggested a name change to CommCon, which not only shortened up the hashtag for use in social, but followed current trends in the conference industry.
